The beginning of the 20th century was marked by the opening of the World Exhibition in Paris, where the Russian pavilion was presented for the first time. Exceptional works by professional artists and masters of folk arts and crafts, reflecting the territory of Russian identity, were exhibited there. Those works still hold  recognisable style of Russian folk art.

The project 'We live among reflections and echos' is an attempt to reconsider the Russian cultural code with all its transformations and changes that have occurred over more than a century of history. Taking the recognisable images of Russian culture as a basis and transforming them with the help of modern technologies, the authors set a special image of national identity that can be today. The process of object modelling and 3D printing is an attempt to create a reconstructive metaphor of the cultural memory, reflectivity to the past and present, corresponding to the mood and modern realities of our time.
