ARTIST STATEMENT
In my artistic practice, I explore the themes of beauty in this world by breaking through boundaries and systems. I’m a nomad in life, traveling and changing cities and countries. Where my language was broken, I learned to be silent, observe, and listen. I see elegance in the world and notice how everything tends to be organized into connections, whether natural or artificial. People’s attachments, memories, and dependencies in material life, and how we are bound to the systems built around us, fascinate and drive my interest as an artist.
Photography allows me to work with people and study the world’s artistry through them, offering the opportunity to interact directly with people and objects in their natural form, capturing them as they are. My goal is to convey liveliness through natural dynamics.
To emphasize natural harmony and slow down in the moment, I rely on film photography. I do not use digital processing, as the analog process helps me capture the authenticity of the moment, preserving its genuine essence without artificial enhancements. Inspired by Susan Sontag's words, "Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving," I strive to capture these intimate connections.
As a passerby, I pierce through the fabric of space, extracting fragments that are uniquely mine. My work is rooted in the uniqueness of the analog process, where each frame is a product of individuality and inspiration, rather than the result of algorithms and filters. With film, I engage more deeply with my subjects, capturing not just images, but also the atmosphere, stories, and feelings that make each frame unique and irreplaceable.
Thus, I believe that through my photographs, the viewer can discover not only a reflection of the world around us but also a profound personal emotional connection that arises only through analog photography.
